Advantages of a Blog

I might be mentioning only a few of blog advantages we can get when we start to make a blog. I’m really sure there must be any other else, including the tools and plug-in available which can be easily installed into a blog.

One important blog’s characteristic is that blog, like discussion board, can have a good 2-way communication between publisher and visitors. Visitors’ comments in your blog and your responses are like an online dialogue. It is possible to become a more-friendly relationship, with just answering visitor’s question with the information they want. And this is a characteristic static sites don’t have.

If you manage your blog well and build the relationship better and better, you can create an audience community who will be pleased to visit your blog over and over again. We call this community as loyal visitor. Once this community built, then you can start to think doing business.

Doing business?

Well... if you want to make money
online, you can do e-commerce with your blog. Just remember, loyal visitor is the important thing. They are actually your business partner. You won’t be successful without them!!

By always providing unique and useful information in your blog, your loyal visitor will become bigger and bigger and they will also put more trust in you. You can then start offering them your own products or services, or recommending someone else’s product that you thing your visitor must have. The bigger your loyal visitor and the more trust they give to you, the bigger the chance you can grow your business. Yes… of course it needs a hard work first!!

Blog also tends to work well in search engine ranking. This because of blog’s content is more informative and updated more frequently than the static site is. We all know,
search engine like sites with unique, useful information and more updates. And blog is a way to provide this kind of information.

Last but not least. One more thing you’ll absolutely love from a blog is… you can make it for FREE! Just like
my blog. Go to blogger or wordpress, and get your blog for free there...

Do you want to add my list of blog’s advantage? Please, share it with all of us…

8 Things Your Visitors Don’t Like

In the early 1990’s, when were not so popular, commercial sites were designed in a very simple way. Their number is not many and they’re just about being ‘live’ and readable. Today, with tens of millions sites online and have ‘war’ on the internet, visitors would NOT choose worse-organized and unprofessional sites that don’t provide information they search for. So, be careful when you design your own sites.

Here are 8 things you should avoid when designing sites. Your visitors don’t like them very much.

1. Outdated information
It’s clear enough. In the world of information, there’s nothing worse than outdated information.

2. Lack of focus
Many websites seem to make their visitors wondering what the site is all about. You have to always make sure that your home page will explicitly convey what information you are offering and its value. Don’t forget to attract their interest to explore the other pages on your site, too.

3. Text, text, … and text
A lot of text would be no problem actually. Just, don’t use lengthy paragraphs without any breaks between them. Reading online is absolutely different than reading printouts. It’s always better to use breaks at your text-block. Try using short and more focused paragraphs, white spacing, heading & subheading, numbers & bullets, or picture with the right size and the right place.

4. Hard to read
How do you feel when you read text with blue-coloured font on black background? Or otherwise… yellow-coloured font on white background? What about text with tiny fonts that strain your eyes when you read it? Yes… all of them are absolutely bad choices. Make sure your writing is easy to read.

5. Crowded and disorganized
Let’s say you have a great site. But if you ‘force’ your visitors with lengthy text blocks, promotional offers here and there, animations, sales chart, flash, or any other thing that is too much, you’ll soon confuse your visitors, drive them away and finally lose them!

6. Too long to download
Don’t waste your visitors’ time by displaying such photos, flash, and video with large file size that will only make your site longer to download. You only have seconds to attract your visitors and catch their interest. Use their time efficiently!

7. Aggressive ads
Surely, we hope our sites or
blog can act as a media to lead our visitor from prospect to costumer. But showing ads blatantly is not the correct answer. There’s something more effective, and that is providing right information, solution and good product value. You can use pop-up, but don’t display it full screen and difficult to close. Your visitors will get angry with it!

8. No Privacy Policy
People hate being spammed. So, if you ask your visitor to fill a form with their e-mail address, please be sure that you have convinced them you will protect their e-mail address and won’t sell or distribute them to anyone else.

-------

Eventually, the content of your site might be the main key to attract visitors. But site appearance is another important thing you have to work on. When people enjoy visiting your site, then there’s more chance for you to do business with them.

7 Steps to Get Your New Site Indexed in 24 hours

Michael Jensen wrote this article on Monday, 11/26/2007, and published it on http://www.webpronews.com/blogtalk/2007/11/26/7-steps-to-get-your-new-site-indexed-in-24-hours. You might find it interesting if you have a new site.

Most SEO’s will advise you to buy an existing site/domain (lots of age benefit), but there are times when you need to start from scratch with a fresh domain. It can sometimes take a couple of weeks to get a new domain indexed by Google (even longer to start ranking!). In order to
speed up the process of getting your site indexed quickly, even in 24 hours, follow the steps outlined below:

1) Create 5 pages of content
Skip the “under construction” page and write several pages of real content, at least a few paragraphs.

2) Create Internal Links to your Pages
Put the content in a template with a menu structure to make this step easier. You can find free templates at oswd.org and other places, at least to get started. Link to the content through the menu, and if you have a major landing page, link to it from the content of a page or two.

3) Tag on Social Bookmarking Sites
After just a few minutes to create an account with these sites you can submit a link to your site. This gives you an instant way for Google and other search engines to find your site because these social bookmarking sites get visited by the search engine bots (like the Googlebot) quite regularly. A few bookmarking sites to recommend: Del.icio.us, BlinkList,
StumbleUpon.com, and Furl. Make sure you tag them with common words, like those you find on their tag clouds (BlinkList has a good one, just scroll down on the page to see it).

4) Comment on popular and recent blogs (with your link)
Find 5 blogs that are fairly popular, relevant to your site, and have a recent blog post (last day or two). Read the post and add a comment that contributes to the discussion, including a link to your site in the URL field.

5) Create, Submit, and Ping your XML Sitemap
You can create a free XML sitemap here then upload the file to your site (just save it as sitemap.xml). Then ping Google with your sitemap by typing in the following URL in your browser, replacing the domain name with your own:

http://google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml

Next, create an account with Google Webmaster Central, add your site, and submit your XML sitemap.

6) Install Google Analytics
Add Google Analytics (free) to your site. Don’t forget to verify your site with them to get the data collection started.

7) Run some Google Ads
Create an account with Google Adwords and start running some ads, even if its just for the domain name, company name, or some long tail keywords. Google has to go to your site because of their quality score, which includes “your landing page quality”. Just spend a couple of bucks and it can help jumpstart the indexing.

With these steps, you should see your site indexed fairly quickly. I can’t guarantee the 24 hours, but it is possible. At the very least it will speed up the indexing significantly (from weeks to days). Look for the “googlebot” to visit in your site analytics. Then look for your site to show up with Google by doing a search with the site: operator (for example, site:sphinn.com). Enjoy!

Weblogs, Inc. : $200 - $3000 a day with Google AdSense.

Here is a story which proves us that blogging with Google Adsense can make money.

Weblogs, Inc. is a publishing consortium of 100 independent bloggers who produce more than 1,000 blog posts a week across over 75 industry-leading blogs, including the popular consumer technology blog Engadget, luxury goods blog Luxist, and car-focused Autoblog. Written by experts and enthusiasts, each one has a distinctive following in its subject area. Readers are able to sort and search stories by topic, can engage in discussion via comments, and rank stories of interest to them. Collectively, Weblogs Inc. blogs get over 60 million pageviews a month. Bloggers are paid a stipend and also receive a portion of advertising earnings related to their blog(s).

Veteran publisher Jason Calacanis thought long and hard about how to support bloggers – and how to make this online business model work. "I was interested in making great content sustainable," recalls Calacanis. "Unfiltered content like blogs can be scary to some advertisers. But people who like unfiltered content are a special audience of early adopters, connectors, information junkies – they are keenly interested in everything they're reading – including the ads."
In September 2004, the fledgling site signed up for AdSense for content sites. The program appealed to him because the ads were contextual, boosting the value of the page content to his enthusiast audience of readers.

Challenge

After implementing AdSense, Weblogs blogs were earning only a couple hundred dollars a day from the program. "At first we didn’t really understand how to use it," Calacanis says, noting that "we thought of it as helping to pay some bills." But when over about six months' time AdSense revenues reached more than $1,000 a day, he says he realized that there was a significant opportunity in AdSense – if his team would invest the time in making it work even better.

Results

Calacanis and team began using AdSense channels to track performance. They increased the number of ads across pages, tried different ad unit sizes, creatives, colors, and placement locations. They tracked each of the changes by channel to determine if these adjustments resulted in increased revenues. "It is key to keep experimenting, and to study the results," he says.

"AdSense provides ads that are more like content than advertising," Calacanis comments. "They inform people." His team also witnessed a 10 to 20 percent jump in ad performance when they matched the ad colors to the site, recognizing the sophistication of the blog audience. "The ads are respectful of the user," he says.

"In the beginning, probably 1 percent of our revenue came from AdSense revenue," Calacanis recalls. But over time, and after testing and optimizing AdSense features, this revenue grew more - from $1,000 to $3,000 a day – a 200 percent increase. While he used to view AdSense as a way to use unsold ad space, today he considers it to be a primary source of revenue for his business.

He advises other publishers to be methodical about testing, experiment, and try one or two new things at a time: "Set goals for yourselves around traffic, number of ads shown, ads per page, number of clicks and as you optimize AdSense, the revenue will follow."

How To Write A Good Content?

If you have your own blog, designing it in an interesting style is definitely a must. Your blog should be so attractive and professional-looking in order to make people enjoy their visit and feel homey there.

… but that’s not the main thing!!

You’ll never get loyal visitors until people find what they’re looking for in your blog. INFORMATION. And in fact, the information content is the main key to attract visitors. When useful information can answer visitor’s questions and are well-written in your site, then you have a chance to keep them there long enough and coming back the next day.

So how can you write your content well?
Nancy Jackson shares her tips about this question.

Good web content can always be described by these four adjectives.

1. Consistent. There’s nothing like inconsistency to make your Web site appear amateurish. Some businesses spell their own company names two or three different ways right on the home page. If your company name is written in all lower-case letters or with unique spacing, be sure you write it the same way every time. But don’t stop there; strive for consistency in all your content — from the use of abbreviations, fonts and numerals to the tone, style and voice of your copy. Having one person write all the content helps keep it consistent, but when this isn’t possible, at least try to have one person serve as editor. If several people are contributing to your site, develop a style guide to inform them of your rules for consistent content.

2. Clear. As in all writing, the goal of Web content is to communicate with an audience, and clarity is essential. Try reading your copy aloud before posting; hearing it out loud can help you determine whether it all makes sense. If possible, have one or two others read copy before posting it to the Web — and if your subject matter is technical or complicated, consider using an outside editor to help eliminate techno-speak.

3. Casual. The nature of the Web is more informal than many other marketing venues, so make sure your copy fits the medium. Your Web content should probably be more conversational than your traditional brochure or company presentation, and because many readers scan Web copy rather than reading it word for word, subheadings and bullets are helpful. In most cases, Web content should also be brief, making your points quickly without losing readers’ attention. However, many effective sites contain brief copy on the front pages with more detailed information available through additional links, which works to keep the attention of the general readership while offering more for those who want it.

4. Correct. Don’t confuse “casual” with “sloppy,” however. Correctness is still important, even on the Web, and errors in spelling, grammar, or facts will give most readers a negative impression of your company. Don’t just use spell check; read and re-read your copy before posting it, and if possible, get second opinions from those who know what they’re doing. There’s nothing wrong with being a bad speller, but there’s no excuse for refusing to double-check your work.

What Is A Blog?

Blog is standing for “Web log”. Log, in its simplest meaning, is a record of events which is written chronologically. Think about a diary. If you have it, you’ll write down some notes about events you experienced on a certain day, headed with date and/or time on top of it. This note can also be about a continuation of events happened the time before. This writing activity will then continue to the next days. Diary is sample of a log.

So, blog or web log is a chronological record about a certain subject, which is kept, saved and shared in World Wide Web. A blog is usually designed with the latest entry on top and the previous entry underneath.

Blog is personal oriented.

What I mean is that the articles, or writings, on a blog are dependent upon how the blogger, people who owns or writes the blog, think about its subject. Thus, you can understand the blogger’s character by simply reading his/her articles and understanding the impression shown in his/her blog.

Subject of a blog could be very various. They range from a light topic, such as celebrity’s gossip, comics, or hobbies, to the more serious one like politic or military stuff. They’re too vast to mention. The other thing is that we can find blogs talking about very similar subject, but seeing the subject from a very different point of view. So it’s not strange if one blog really adores the president of USA, while another blog expresses to hate him very much. Just like I told you before, it depends on the mind of the blogger. You, as a visitor, are free to choose whichever you like.

The blogger would be online or offline very often to search updates of the subject in his/her blog from many resources. He/she then summarizes the information collected in his/her own opinion and write it down in his/her blog as a new entry / posting. This kind of “combining and summarizing” method causes the information in a (good) blog always has a deeper understanding and have a new vision.

There’re also bloggers who blog with their original content. These bloggers are either experts, well-experienced, or knowledgeable person, and therefore being considered as seniors by a blogger community. Or else, they might be so rich by making their blogs as a powerful money machine. You can find in the internet many rich bloggers in the world.

Blog can make money???

Yes, it can. Much… if you want, and work it hard. Many bloggers join Google Adsense and make good money through it. Please, refer to my article about Google Adsense.

Write It And Make Your Money!

These days, many companies do campaigns about their product online by publishing websites. They know well that the internet will spread out the information about their ( physical ) products throughout the world and therefore raise the sale potential. I absolutely believe, this online campaign is more effective and make much more money to the company.

You can make money by doing something online too.
This, or this, article tells us that we can make money by simply writing information and selling it online.

So, how shall we do it? Here’s a simple step to start:

1. First, find the subject you’d like to write. Think about something you are good at. None? Then try with something you like very much. Your hobbies, maybe. Or, otherwise, why don’t you try to write something YOU DON’T LIKE AT ALL? In short words, you almost could write ANYTHING to make money online. For example, you really HATE SMOKING and it’ll become your subject.

2. Pour your mind about smoking so it really shows how you feel about it. Just write it honestly. If you hate it, say you hate it! At this step, your aim is to make a content that will interest people to read it because it provides a true information they search for. Use the word editor in your computer and save it.

3. Read your writing again. Find some places in your article that might be able to detail or develop. Let’s say you find that it’s good to add information about toxic substances contained in cigarette and how hard it will risk your life.

4. So now you have 2 more subjects about smoking you can write. They are cigarette’s toxic and the bad risk of smoking. To enrich your thoughts, read some books or do searching on internet about related topics. Summarize and combine them into new information of yours, and write it. Avoid writing with zero-knowledge. Remember that you are writing something useful for other people.

5. Repeat step number 2 to 4. You will have your topic described from one simple idea into a well-detailed information. Don’t make your writing out of your main topic. Keep it in focus. To make it easier to understand, it’s better to arrange your writing into several chapters.

6. Convert your writing which is previously saved in word format like .doc to a PDF file. This conversion will make your writing into an e-Book and become downloadable. Here, you have finished your own information product and ready to sell.

7. The last step is advertise your self and your ebook. You can harness hundreds of forums and groups on the internet. Be an active member and promote your ebook at the right time. Just be patient and keep a hard work. It will work!

Selling ebook is not the only one way to make money online. There is another way. BLOGGING.

Adsense is a program run by Google that places advertisements on a website. These ads are third-party’s called advertisers. If you have your own sites, you can easily sign up to Google Adsense and start placing the ads that Google gives you on your page(s). You, as the publisher, will get paid every time your visitor clicks the ads, or for each thousand ad appearances.

There are 3 types of Google Adsense :
1. Adsense for Content : Google will serve you with ad(s) which is related to the content of your site.
2. Adsense for Search : You will display on your site(s) a Google search box in accordance with the specifications provided by Google.
3. Referral : You will implement any Referral Buttons on page(s) in accordance with the specifications provided by Google. End users who click on a Referral Button will be directed to a Web page that may be hosted by Google.

As Google says on its
official site, the Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site. You'll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. Although Google Adsense doesn't disclose the exact revenue share, its goal is to enable publishers to make as much or more than they could with other advertising networks.

The best way to find out how much you'll earn is to sign up and start showing ads on your webpages. There's no cost, no obligation, and getting started is quick and easy. You can sign up now from the AdSense home page at https://www.google.com/adsense .

SFI : An Affiliate Program

This is the company offering an affiliate program I firstly join. FREE OF CHARGE. Yes… I absolutely didn’t want to spend money while I was just a beginner in online business. It was the members’ testimonials that pulled me to fill the form and want to get my self registered. Some of them said that :

"The SFI program works! I cannot recommend any other affiliate program more strongly."
P Bates, AL, USA
"The program does ALL that it promises and more."
A Hinkley, MI, USA
"I've involved myself with several online businesses, and SFI is by far the best of all."
R Riney, AR, USA

So I gave it a try and started to fill the form…

Once I finished my registration form and signed up, SFI sent me email asking me to confirm my affiliate registration. I was hooked when I found that there were more than 9.9 million people had joined SFI already!!

Creating a successful business means getting started right. SFI really support all its members to run this business well by providing a lot of great information and excellent tools. They even create a program called PATH, Personalized Affiliate Training Homepage. PATH culls the information the member had entered to provide his/her with a personalized, step-by-step action guide and business-building recommendations. In other words, this PATH will guide the members to bigger and bigger success with SFI.

There is also a forum where members can ask their questions or share their ideas about SFI products. Because SFI has many focuses you can choose to be your business, this forum is really crowded with people asking so many different topics. Moderated by experts, this crowded mind-traffic then become a highly-valued lesson.

Well, I didn’t mean that this business will promise you the gold river in easy way. Your future success will be dependent upon how hard your effort is. But it’s always better to get ourselves well-prepared first before doing something. Take a look at SFI business and learn yourself. Good luck…!!

Work at Home -- Why Do People Fail?

Graham Chapman wrote this article and published it in Article City. You might find it’s interesting when you run your business at home.

The world of the business opportunity is growing at an ever-increasing rate. Fuelled by the modern desire to want more from life, especially wealth and freedom, people are seeking ways to escape from their corporate environment, their job, and employed status. The rewards are huge if successful; once a winning formula is discovered, it can be used to shape a whole lifetime. All of a sudden, choice and freedom are available. Having such an independent lifestyle can (and usually does) erase much of the stress and depression that exists in the lives of many people nowadays.

Those seeking this Holy Grail can spend a lot of money – often thousands – on ideas, or they can spend an inordinate amount of time devising their own plans.

Yet, it is a strange fact that very few of us who buy, or are given, or invent a business opportunity succeed.

Why is this?

Very often, of course, it is the actual business opportunity or plan that is used. Some exist simply to line the pockets of the writers – not the readers. However, there are countless reliable, proven ways to build a very profitable business that can be run from home. Some people will run with an idea and become very successful and yet someone else, following the same plan, will not. Can the reasons for this be dependent solely on intelligence, experience, gender, race or genes? Surprisingly, no. What usually separates the winners from the losers is attitude and, in particular, the ability, or will, to act. The winners possess fearlessness or, at least, a resistance to the effects of the fear of failure.

The losers, very often manifest this fear into what is known as analysis paralysis: a tendency to keep trying to make a plan exactly right before executing (if we don’t try then we can’t fail). This is obviously a paradox; the very state of inaction produces the failure.

If any blame for ineffectiveness can be levelled at a plan in question, it is in the almost universal lack of emphasis on the importance to act. Action produces results, and from these results we can act again, thereby moving ever close to our destination.

So, if we want to progress with our chosen idea, then it helps to keep in mind that well-known advertising slogan: Just Do It!

7 Good Attitudes You Need To Work At Home

Everybody wants to make a good money for his/her family. When you are planning to have a home-based business to make money with, then you need some good attitudes to get to your success.

Here is the list.

1. First of all, you must fill your thoughts with the right mindset that convinces you that you can be successful by working at home. Always make this mindset growing better.

2. If you think this home-based business is very easy, then you should change your mind. That is not absolutely right. One thing for sure is it needs a hard work to get to golden goal.

3. Arrange your time and your money. Don’t get your self in the middle way between working at home and taking care of you children. Be professional in your own business.

4. Allow your instincts to take part when checking out a new opportunity. Then do some research. Once you find your instincts empowered by the research’s result, then you’re in the right path to go ahead.

5. Be straight and clear with your budget. You are investing mostly your time and effort. So don’t invest your money in any online business that requires you to pay large money first. Your business does need your money to invest. But a big money in advance? No, thanks…

6. You are your business. If you were red, then your business will become red. Honestly showing your self to your customers is a must. The more honest you are, the more unique you become. People need to want you for who you are and what you can achieve with what you have inside.

7. When your business becomes bigger and bigger, don’t be afraid to share your knowledge with other people who need it. Helping them will also mean helping your self. It would create a social support to your business.

You have something else? Please let us know….

4 Opportunities To Work At Home With Internet

Some of you may have chosen to work at home running a small business that isn't computer or Internet-related. That's great! You have been able to translate your skills into a market niche that is providing you a steady income. With the Internet, people are learning to make money - even while they sleep - and finding a healthy return on their investments.

The Internet has redefined what work at home really means. Not only can we conduct simple e-commerce, but we can also profit from an area that grows virtually everyday - simply surfing the Web. The Web grows by hundreds of thousands, if not millions of pages per day - so why not take advantage of a growing marketplace?

So, what are some of the main Internet work at home opportunities? We'll take a quick look at four of the primary areas people like yourself are making money with Internet work at home opportunities:

1. E-books / White papers
Type in a subject on the search engine and you are probably going to find someone who has written an e-book or white paper on the topic. Buyers build their work from business by selling these e-books and white papers around the clock to people all over the world. It is as simple as having a good book written, marketing it on the Internet with a dedicated sales page, and making the sales. This can be a great passive work at home opportunity for someone who finds the right niche at the right time.

2. Affiliate Marketing
Websites that provide products and services to people are constantly on the lookout for people who want to help direct traffic to their products. Many successful work at home entrepreneurs have made a steady income by acting at the traffic funnel to these e-commerce sites. Each time a person clicks through your site and then purchases a product from the parent site - you collect a percentage of that sale!

3. Surveys
If you have even a couple of extra hours each day, you can carve out a great work at home side income by doing surveys and participating in focus groups that work through the Internet. The pay structure varies from site to site, but many survey sites boast up to $75 for some of their surveys. If you can do 4 per month, you've added $300 to your income.

4. Telecommuting
If you aren't entirely Internet savvy, another way to go in the work at home world is to telecommute. This is essentially doing data processing work from the comfort of your own computer. This can be a great way for parents looking after children to make extra money while caring for the kids. It could range from medical billing to accounting information for companies large and small - and because of the Internet, the information is easily transferable and you can often access company sites from your home computer.

Never has it been easier to work from home using your computer and the Internet. The opportunities are literally endless. Aside from direct marketing opportunities on the Internet, you can also use it as a constant billboard for a different product or service that you might be able to provide. Maybe you build birdhouse, or you are a certified family counselor that can serve clients from your home.

The Internet is an ongoing information source that we can take advantage of for our work at home business. Take the time to learn how it can help you, and instantly you will see the power it has to increase the profit from your work at home business.

Should You Quit Your Daily Job?

Do you have a daily good job today and get paid well every month? Thank God if you do. We know that so much people in this world find their selves chained in unemployment and can not do anything to make money. Some of them then are pushed to do crime in which they actually don’t want to be. The other people are still struggling hard to earn small money legally that is not enough to fill their family needs. A real sad story, isn’t it?

I was so lucky to get my degree in engineering and have a job in manufacturing company today. Doing online business is my part-time job. But guess what? I love this part-time job much more than the daily one. And there’s a truly BIG DREAM in me that always encourages me to build this online business bigger and bigger so I can get more money and spend more time with my family.

Are you with me?

But don’t get me wrong. Switching making money from having a daily job to working at home needs to be carefully decided. You should consider your current level of family responsibilities as well. Now check this list out and try to answer my questions yourself.

1. Our success will always be based on how hard we are working on it. I firmly believe with the term: No pain, no gain. No matter what you do, no matter whom you work for, you must fight really hard to get your success. So, are you going to work hard for somebody else, or for your own self?

2. Let’s say that you are the R&D manager in a manufacturing company and you have your $x,xxx monthly check as your salary. If you suddenly come across a genius idea, followed by your very best detailed floor plan, and lead your company a millions dollar profit to collect, do you think you’ll get your share from that giant profit?

3. Most company pay their employees with salary based on the number of time they work. It could be hourly or daily. Under these circumstances, a hard worker employee will earn as much money as the other lazy-and-less worker will get, even though there’s a difference of performance value between them. Which one do you prefer, you’ll get your money based on the number of time you work, or the value of performance you’ve created while you work?

4. There must be a hierarchical level at all company. We all do realize that it is a must and it is normal. That’s how the company’s information will flow from top to the bottom, back and forth. Unfortunately, it sometimes becomes annoying for those smarter people at the lower level who want to communicate their beautiful ideas up to the top level, but find the middle level playing his/her own “game” to take charge of the project. The worst thing is then they pretend that the ideas are originally theirs. Have you ever experienced this kind of “ideas faking”?

5. Company has rules that all employees have to obey. Violation will lead to punishment, varying from the very smooth way to the more serious one. This rule sometimes seems too harsh so it won’t tolerate if you’re late for work, even it’s because you have to take your son to the doctor first! :-( … Let’s compare if you have your own business. You are free to define what rules you want apply as long as your goal is well done, right?

6. Money from your daily job will sustain your family life economically today and maybe until 2, or 5, or 10 years to come. What if you are closer to 55 years old? Retire and leave your career behind? How will you continue your family life then? Are you economically independent already? Don’t you think it is better to start your own business right now, and you will have the time longer to grow that business before you feel too old to start?

7. Being an entrepreneur means that you will run your business with every power you possess, overcome the obstacles by yourself and take the responsibility from all decisions you have made. Both win and loose are totally yours. So scary, huh? Well, maybe it is. But remember, even if you fail after 5 or 8 years struggling for your own business, you might have learned a lot more than if you had the same time working in somebody else’s company. Now, are you ready to take the risks for a precious learning, for your own sake?

8. Having a good job with a big money doesn’t always mean that you love that job. Now you are either doing what you love or you are not. I like my job now at manufacturing company, but apparently online business “has taken my heart away with it”:-D… I really love the way it provides me update information, the easier way to make money with it, the more time it promises me to spend with my family, the more money I can get with it, etc. Are you now making money by doing what you love?

Why You Have To Do It Online

Here’s some reasons why building your business online will margin your profit larger than if you do it offline.

1. No need your big money to get started.
No. It doesn’t mean that you can start it with zero capital. Not at all. But compared to offline and conventional businesses, you’ll still be able to take a breath deeper.
2. No need to have high-costed equipments.
You only need 1 computer with internet connection, 1 desk and 1 chair to sit down, so you can make your money in comfort.
3. Less time, more profit.
So tired with 8 hours doing your daily job? Well.. be pleased. Cause this online business will take only your 1 – 2 hours every day to run.
4. So many people out there will potentially become your market.
Can you imagine how many people searching on the internet to get a certain thing? I can’t.
5. Automated customer services.
Let your site does this tasks for you 24/7. Completely, if you want. From receiving order, process the payment, to deliver your product electronically.
6. You are the boss, man!
Do how you want your business to be. Nobody will interfere. Your hard work is your own success.
7. Free from such bad environment.
Heavy rain season? Unhealthy climate? Headache-making traffic jam? Noisy metal machines? Impolite inferiors? Anything else? Don’t worry. They would become no matter any more in your online world.
8. You can do it anytime, anywhere.
I really like this point. You can do your online works after playing football with your children, in the evening, or in your vacation. Anytime. Even if you suddenly wake up in the early morning and have a beautiful idea in mind, just turn on your computer and plan your money without having to bathe and still only wearing your underwear. Thanks to internet technology!!

Well, is that enough to make you think that I am right and push you to start your online business right away? I believe somebody must be able to add some points to my list. I’d really love to hear them.

For Newcomers: A Way To Make Money Online, Selling Information

If you are newbie in this online world and searching for money you can get from home, you must be shocked by so many ideas you can do. I bet it! That happened to me, too. But actually there’s one more thing that shocked me most. A lot of people there already fill their pocket full with money by working online earlier, even when we haven’t started it yet!! These ‘old guys’ then made feel too late to begin…

Are you feeling the same way too now?

Well, don’t be. This will make your pessimistic. Keep searching, and you’ll find what I’ve found. These ‘old guys’ are in fact ‘very nice persons’. Visit their sites and you’ll be welcomed to read any useful information they provide. Explore them. Join their forum. Do not hesitate to ask your questions, even if those questions are very simple like:
What is a website?
How to make an e-mail account?
What is a newsletter?, etc.

Your online knowledge will be day by day enriched thereafter. And then, you will know someday that most of those ‘old guys’ have their full-with-money pocket by doing one job. And that is SELLING INFORMATION.

Yupp…. Selling information. Online.

Let me tell you why information is the best product to sell online.

1. It’s fast to create and fast to copy.
Once you get a good idea in your mind, get close to your computer and start writing your idea. You can then turn your writing into a downloadable e-book in seconds. If you need more, you can easily copy it as many as you want. In seconds!
2. No need inventory to stock.
The information you sell online is digital and needs no particular room to keep it, just a small space on your computer.
3. Small money to start.
You need only a computer, a writing skill and time to type the ideas you’ve found onto the computer. Affiliate marketer who sells someone else’s info product might have zero investment.
4. Many ideas will continue to come.
Sell your first info product! And you will have the next ideas in your mind queues up to write.
5. Sales and delivery can be processed automatically.
You can make your site to automatically handle your online business. From sales letter, receiving order, process payment to deliver the product by e-mail.
6. Customers get immediate access or delivery.
Customer is always wanting now! They don’t want to wait for the product any longer once they have paid the money. Automated site can send the info product right away to meet this customer’s satisfaction.
7. No shipping and handling charges.
As I mentioned before, informational product are mostly delivered by e-mail. You just have to click the ‘send’ command button to deliver the product, and your customer over there will get it.

You see?! Information is the best product you can sell online. So let’s start gathering any information that we may need to build our home-based business.

Searching On The Internet About Home-Based Business

On internet, you can find so many articles describing how you can make money at home. On search engine like Google or Yahoo!, just simply type these words:
- home-based business, or
- work at home, or
- make money at home, or any other phrases you like

The search engine will then list you many websites offering home-based business opportunity.

I did my search with Google for home-based business.
God… it resulted 321.000 pages talking about home-based business!!!
Of course I didn’t want to spend my 2 months time to visit all of those pages. Look at the first top 10, and I got my conclusion that most of them offering online home-based businesses.

Try to search yourself. Find with different phrases if you like. Click the website / pages listed to view the ideas they offer. If you’re not satisfied yet, try another method you think better. I just can guarantee you one thing…

“The more you do searching, the more ideas you’ll find there on the internet. So, stop it before you become overwhelmed by this abundance!!”.

Just choose only 5 best ideas that look good for you. When you do this, consider that these ideas should be providing a good product for your customer too. It is true what the marketing experts say, “Don’t sell things your buyers won’t buy”. Thus, balancing between your skill/hobby and your market is a must and has to be done carefully.

Once you get your 5 best ideas in hand, try to reanalyze them. Think again, and again, until you get your confidence to decide 1 or 2 the very best ideas which will become your focus. You can focus on more ideas next time after your online knowledge increase.

My own experience, searching ideas gave me a bad headache. I might be too happy to see so many ideas about home-based business, but finally find difficulties to pick the best one.

There’s one website that impressed me most when I began to search on internet.

“Millions of people all over the world are making money online with just a computer and a few hours a week. You can too!”

Those words were typed with big-sized bold letter on the header of
this website.

“Well, it might be the right for me,” I wondered.
You know, I really love those three words of them. ONLINE, COMPUTER and FEW (hours).

What I did then was jump into that site deeper to see what it offered to make me money..

I’m Always Wanting My Own Home-Based Business

First, let me tell you about what most people do to get their money for life. Being an employee.
I’d like to have my friend, let’s call him Andy, to represent these people. He wakes up in the early morning and prepares well before he goes to work. After giving his cute 3-years-old child a kiss, he starts his car engine ( he’s so lucky to have one ), then brummmm…. leaving his home, go to work. Other people who don’t have their own car, must walk fast, catch the bus, or… they’re gonna be late for work.
Until the next 8 hours, sometimes more, he’ll be having his busy time. Don’t try to interrupt him. Career is all in his mind. He does have a good job there in his office, and he obviously doesn’t want to loose it. Yes… he’s a serious Andy!!
He’ll be at home at around 6 pm. Spending his time with his family he missed that day. At 9 pm, all the lights inside his house will be usually turned off. It’s time to bed…

Wait a minute…

Do you think Andy get to sleep at that 9 pm? No, he doesn’t. I’ve told you, he’s a serious guy. He uses his time before sleep to recap his work that day, or get ready for his assignments tomorrow, while his wife and child start to sleep. After considering all is OK, then it’s time to bed for him.

That things happen day by day ( except for the weekend, of course ). At the end of the month, he’ll get his monthly salary, and then he will continue the same activities in the next days.

Well, that’s the short story about my friend doing his job everyday to earn money. A good money actually, from which he can live his life with his family, his own car and his own house. Not bad at all!

Me? I was a little bit like him. Nothing’s different except one thing. And that is a very BIG DREAM in my mind to have my own business in my own house. Nothing else, nowhere else…

My big dream said to me that I would be very pleased if I had some more time to spend with my family by working at home. Ideally, the money from this business should be as much as my money I got from my job, or even more. More time for taking care of my children and more money for life. Sounds great, isn’t it?

So I started to search the right business I can run at home. And you know what? It took time for about 2 years. From traditional kiosk, MLM, to planting indoor plants. But none of them made me feel happy, until I finally came across something. INTERNET.

I like computer very much. I used to design a database using MS Access, draw AutoCAD drawings, browsing, and harness any other application to ease my work. But at the first time, I didn’t know that computer and internet together will become a powerful money-machine.

I’ll tell you how internet interesting me to make money with it later…
