Stop your only dreaming, push the start button

It’s another post about stop dreaming start action that tells people not to hold their dreaming and great ideas on procrastination. You might have ever said to yourself, "I got a great idea to make my dream alive. I think I'll...", but then done nothing about implementing your idea? If so, then stop it. Dust it off, and push your start button.

Yes we live in a perfectionist society. Most people seem like to underline every little thing that is wrong. No one likes to be criticized. Fear of not being perfect from somebody else’s eyes can make progress very slow. It can even prevent people from starting the very first action. So, does that mean that successful people have figured everything out ahead of time? The answer is an emphatic, "No." Here's the real secret to success.

People develop confidence as a result of doing something new and gradually getting better at it. So, if a lack of confidence is stopping you from getting started, you are actually depriving yourself of the means of building your confidence and also beginning a project that can become very successful.

A Wise Man's Motto: Implement now, perfect later!

Robert Davis was at a National Speaker's Association convention and wearing a t-shirt with the words, "Implement Now - Perfect Later." His was a learn as you go system which eliminated the enormous stress of perfectionism. "Yes, you need to have a plan," he said, "However, you can act on it even though it isn't perfect." He even wrote a book by the same title, "Implement Now - Perfect Later."

Why you have to start action immediately

The three major benefits when you stop only dreaming and start action right now:

1. Action Unleashes Creativity

The power in just beginning is that it unleashes your creativity. You don't have to worry about the results because you know you are in the experimental stage, and you are going to use the results as a guideline for constant improvement. This sparks creative problem solving ideas and innovation. If you don't start action, you will have nothing to improve.

2. Action Builds Confidence

Overcoming challenges builds confidence. Beginning your project creates new challenges and ideas for improvement that would never come if you were just thinking about starting. If you're always dreaming about being successful, and thinking about starting, but never actually doing anything, you will not only be disappointed in yourself, you also won't have the opportunity to face the challenges that build confidence.

3. Action Creates Energy

When you begin something - anything - you build a momentum that creates more and more energy. That energy is transformed into enthusiasm that inspires others to join in your efforts - either by helping you or by telling others about your project.

So, don't wait until you feel confident, or have all the answers, or have everything lined up perfectly. Remember, confidence is built by doing something new and then getting better at doing it. Success is created by starting action on your dream, facing challenges and continual improvement. So...take the advice on a wise man's T-shirt and "Implement Now - Perfect Later”. Stop only dreaming and push the start button. Right now!
